• Does Pacific Beach have lifeguards?

  Yes, it does. In fact, you will see lifeguards at the permanent lifeguard stations all year long. During the summer months, more lifeguards are added to the lifeguard towers. They are usually on duty from 9:00 a.m. until dusk.

• Are there are any rules I need to follow?

  Just a few. You cannot bring alcoholic beverages or glass containers. There is no smoking and no littering. If you have a dog, it's not allowed on the beach between 9:00 and 4:00 p.m. from November 1 through March 31 and between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from April 1 through October 31.
